Alp Flix – a treasure island of biodiversity

Alp Flix is located on a plateau above the village of Sur. It is often referred to as a treasure island of biodiversity. Alongside the impressive nature, families, hikers, bikers and nature lovers alike will enjoy Alp Flix to the full. The Agrotourissmo farm of Cotti Agricultura offers various attractions for guests, including horseriding, sleeping in a yurt and even catering with its own products. Next to the farm, the Berghaus Piz Platta is open all year round. 

Explorer's trail

Young and old explorers can learn more about nature in a fun way on the explorer's trail course at six stations on Alp Flix. Professor Fix's explorer kit can be used to build water wheels, cast plaster animal tracks and spiders can be observed with the cup magnifying glass.

Horseriding

Exploring Alp Flix and its surroundings is especially good on horseback. Cotti Agricultura offers a wide variety of riding tours. From a short walk on a pony to a multiple-day Alpine tour on horseback; there's something in it for everyone.

Hiking around Alp Flix

Four long hiking routes lead past Alp Flix: Veia da Sumvitg from Julier Pass to Thusis, Senda Segantini from Savognin to Samedan, the Grisons Walserweg from San Bernardino to Brand in Austria and Via Sett from Thusis to Chiavenna. In addition to the long-distance hiking trails, shorter round trips and beautiful access routes lead to Alp Flix.

Getting there and access

The important destinations on Alp Flix (lake, hotel restaurant, explorer's trail) can be reached directly by bus, which runs regularly from Sur, Postautoplatz to Alp Flix in the summer. You can drive from Sur along a signposted road in your private car to the paid car park at the entrance of Alp Flix on the right. From this point on, driving is prohibited on Alp Flix. It takes approx. half an hour to reach the restaurants and the lake from the parking area.
